Yoga has been my go to style of exercise for a number of years. The truth is exercise isn’t really my thing and I absolutely hate huffing and puffing and that horrible burny feeling in your throat when you are trying to catch your breath 🥵 So yoga has always seemed like the perfect solution.

Last year like most things with Covid my yoga routine and exercise in general went out the window really so this year I have been trying to re establish a new routine that works for me, but to be honest I am struggling.

I have always needed an incentive to go to classes and I am so grateful for my dear friends who yoga with me with the promise of coffee and chatting afterwards it really is the thing that gets me there each week.

This year I have changed to a yoga studio, Happiness Yoga (how cute is the name) a change is as good as a holiday they say and I have to agree. The new studio is small, personal and homely, with small intimate classes and after trying a few different weekly time slots I think I am finding something that works.

So I feel like my weekly in person class is pretty much sorted which is a great feeling but my daily at home online practise is still struggle street 🤷‍♀️

Early February I committed to 30 continuous days of online yoga, well it is now the middle of April and I have finally just finished my 30 days. 🤦‍♀️ I just don’t seem to be able to find a good consistent time of the day to roll out the yoga mat. I have reminders set on my phone, I have my yoga mat sitting out in view as a reminder and I love the online instructor but there always seems to be something that pops up in my day that either distracts me or needs my yoga time allocated to it. I just need more hours in my day.

Is anyone else struggling with their exercise routine at the moment or maybe you have found a great solution, tip or hack that you would be happy to share. Please let me know this struggle isn’t just me and that the answer is just around the corner 🤞
